and it is Mike Ribeiro’s first game back since being bought out (and thrown under the bus) by the Coyotes.

This might be a bit harsh. Mike even admitted to having issues when he first came here and made it sound like he needed to clean up his act.

"According to Darren Dreger, Minnesota and Colorado will be getting Stadium Series games next year. Winnipeg may be getting a Heritage Classic."

LOVE seeing that. So sick and tired of seeing the same teams over and over and over and over again. NYR, WSH, CHI, DET, TOR, PHI. Nice to see some change.

I think that every team needs to have at least one stadium series or be part of one. Can't do one in Nashville, it barely snows.

You don't need snow or even super cold temperatures for an outdoor game. See last year's outdoor game in Los Angeles or this year's game in Santa Clara.

Not to sound too harsh here, but it's also about the ratings. How many markets would go out of their way to watch say the Preds & Blues in an outdoor game?

The NHL makes it's money on tickets sold, not so much TV ratings. The outdoor series are all about regional sales and bringing that gate profits in. These events bring in a TON of money for the NHL and it would be no different here.

Can't see Preds getting an outdoor game after just getting ASG..

That being said NHL wants to market the best players and Preds have arguably the best goalie and defenseman in world right now. Just not sexy enough.

Why not the Preds? I watched the Preds play at Colorado the other night and there was a whopping 12,000 people in the arena yet they will get to play outdoors. They don't appear to be generating much interest right now.

Remember that shinny game the Leafs played with the Preds a while back? I'd like to think that that cluster(frank) has woke the Leafs up. Granted January is coming and now is the time they usually poop the bed, but they've gone 8-1-1 since then.
